What Is Yoga Gives Back?

Yoga Gives Back mobilizes practitioners worldwide to channel their gratitude of yoga into empowering India’s women and children to create sustainable lives. As westerners who have been fortunate enough to profit from teaching yoga, we feel it is important to acknowledge the country it was created in and give back to those who do not have the same opportunities as us. Founder Kayoko Mitsumatsu began her vision in 2006 and since then, she has united thousands of yogis to come together and help others. Kayoko's vision came from witnessing the harsh realities of India and realizing that  even though money cannot bring happiness, it can definitely help bring equality. She began helping abused women start their own business, assisted impoverished students with obtaining degrees, and allowed children born into unfair circumstances have the same equal opportunities as others. In honor of International Yoga Day, we invite you to join our mission while doing what you love, yoga. The price of a class in the US can literally change someone's life.
